Grant Seekers Guide to Using AI (Bayside)
Hosted by Bayside City Council (opens in a new tab), this three-hour evening session shows community groups how to use AI ethically to write stronger grant applications.
AI won’t write your application for you. Used well, it helps you understand what assessors want and get your own words down faster.
If you’ve been curious about AI but worry about getting it wrong, this session is for you.

Common questions
Do I need to know how to use AI already?
No. This session is for people who are curious about AI but worried about getting it wrong. You will leave knowing what is safe, what isn't, and how to use AI on a grant application.
Will AI write our grant application for us?
No, and it shouldn't. You will use AI to understand the guidelines, spot what assessors are really asking for and get your own words down faster, so the application still sounds like your organisation.
Is it safe to put our organisation's information into AI?
This session shows you how to use AI on grant guidelines without handing over private information, and where to draw the line.
Who should come?
Volunteers, staff and committee members from community groups and not-for-profit organisations who write or contribute to grant applications.
Who do I contact with questions?
Contact Bayside City Council's Community Grants Officer at grants@bayside.vic.gov.au or on 9599 4787.
